The Twinsman offers the same performance as a shortboard combined with the effortless speed of a twin fin. Approachable for any style of surfing. A board that you can really push on rail or just enjoy the easy down the line speed. Paddles and gets up to speed faster than a standard performance board, but doesn’t have the limitations of a traditional twin. More pivot and drive off the bottom while fitting in tighter sections. Different variations allow this concept to be applied to any wave range.

In early 2019, Album started working on prototypes for their soft top program. They wanted to make a board sub 5’0” that could carry volume but still be a ripper. They made a 4’10” chunky little thing that was a little over 30 liters, with a fishy rocker, twin-fin setup, and a wild double-barrel bonzer-style deep-channel concave running almost the full length of the bottom of the board. Album gave it to Asher and Josh to test. The results were remarkable. It was the first Album board Asher rode and within two sessions the guys had already stacked internet-breaking clips on a first-draft prototype. So it went off to create the mold for the Seaskate soft top, but they knew they had to make a model out of it. Ride it a little shorter and thicker than a Sunstone. It packs a lot of volume, but don’t be afraid to ride it 3-5 liters more than your shortboard.

The Lightbender is Asher’s next evolution of fish craft with a sleeker outline and foil. It's got modern elements in a classic and traditionally pleasing platform. A fish that can explore the limits of speed and tube-riding and can be taken above and through the lip. Exclusively a twin fin. Modern single- to double-concave to vee off the exit, contemporary rails. Ridden an inch or so longer than a Sunstone and a bit narrower, but at the same thickness. Go with a little less volume overall than a Sunstone, but still a touch more than a traditional daily-driver shortboard. You may never ride a shortboard again.
