The Dad Bod 2.0 is JT’s new take on the popular and versatile original. Maintaining the same attributes that made the first Dad Bod model a fan favorite, the 2.0 provides an upgrade in performance and adaptability, thereby setting this design as the new supreme one-board-quiver in the JT lineup. 

Mellow entry rocker generates abundant speed in the lackluster conditions of summer, and with changing seasons, the Dad Bod 2.0 still holds unwavering in overhead winter swells with the addition of a pulled-in winged swallowtail. This board can be surfed year-round with confidence, even when the conditions are unpredictable. 

This all-condition blade is an excellent board for both beginner surfers looking to progress and advanced surfers who want something reliable yet fun that can still hold through turns, blast through flat sections, and generate enough speed to get above the lip. 

Ample foam distributed beneath the chest region allows for easy paddling, quick entry, and rapid acceleration. Upgrading the tail has enhanced the 2.0 for steeper surfing in the pocket, more vertical turns, and fast rail-to-rail transitions.

Almost intuitively, this board goes where you please and with speed to spare. Shaping for the local conditions of San Diego, this is JT’s solution to the board choice predicament we all face before heading to the coast.

We recommend adding 1-2 Liters from your regular shortboard and +.5-1L. more than the original Dad Bod.

The Tomo Vader has returned with the addition of the Vee Quad Concave hull design (VQC)

A fresh perspective on perhaps the most 'disruptive design in modern surfing' VADER V2 is set to make another major stir with  optimisation of the outline, bottom contour and nose entry curves.

This 'ultra high performance' design once again defies traditional logic and offers an incredibly intuitive ride quality, effortless  rail to rail transitions and an almost supernatural acceleration through turns.

Despite the tiny dimensions, the rectangular outline combined with the deep spine like nature of the  of the Vee bottom , provide a balanced volume distribution under the chest for comfortable paddling and great wave catching, while still maintaining a fine rail profile for sensitive rail control.

Tomo strongly feels the Vader2.0 is "the Fastest surfboard design in Modern Surfing" and will level up the surfing of anyone who rides it.

  • For good surfers looking for maximum perfomance: Size Vader V2 at 5-6 inches shorter than customers standing height ( or equal to the tip of ones nose) same volume as lowest functional comfortable level or minus 1 L from a traditional performance shape. 
  • Quad fin or 5 box setup recommended.
  • Best suited for Good To Advanced Surfers.

When I first got my board I was really nervous about how light it was. Quickly on my first surf those nerves were calmed. The board is electric and just feels so much livelier than a PU board. Great board in a variety of conditions: the board works particularly well with the FCS2 H4 thruster set and even better/spicier as a quad, with rear performers, even in well overhead punchy surf. I custom ordered mine a little stretched out at 6-0 and 37L (I am 47yo and 185lbs with 25yrs of experience) = super stoked.

I've had some good boards along the way but nothing that feels like what you get in Dark Arts. The boards are really light but are really solid. Old technology feels sluggish after a little while but these boards keep that spring session after session. I got a custom 5'3" JT Dad Bod.
